Biography
Through his creative fusion of classical composition and media scoring, Raheem Frederick has achieved a grand, yet transparent voice . Influenced by his past as a classical flautist, as well as his love for games, his compositions range from intimate, vulnerable works to active, melody driven scores. “Music should not only be played, but should present an idea or emotion that the audience may react to as they see fit. If music has struck a chord within an individual, whatever it may be, then it has done its job.” Raheem has studied under some of the nation's leading media composers including Jonathan Mayer, Lennie Moore, Matt Levine, and Daria Novo. He is currently in pursuit of his B.M. in Technology and Applied Composition at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music.
